What is a Cookie?
The term “Cookies” refers to all the trackers (pixel tags, bugs, web-storage) stored and/or read, for example, when the website is consulted.
A Cookie is a small text file, saved on your device’s hard drive at the request of the server administering the website visited. It contains information on the navigation carried out on the website pages (in particular: the name of the server that deposited it, an identifier in the form of a unique number, possibly an expiry date).
Cookies are stored for various purposes. In particular, they facilitate the subsequent use of the website by the same person by saving their preferences, but also to develop our services by establishing statistics and traffic volumes in order to improve the interest and ergonomics of our services.
During each visit to this website (the “Website”), ALTARES – D&B collects information automatically (pages, links, documents consulted, number of bytes transferred, etc.).
ALTARES Cookies
ALTARES – D&B uses Cookies to offer content, services tailored to your interests, offer you to share the content on the Website via social media platforms and allow ALTARES – D&B to compile statistics of visits, record the data communicated and optimise clickstream data. Cookies are stored for the periods set by the Commission Nationale Informatique et Libertés (CNIL) for soliciting customers and prospects. Several types of Cookies are present on the Website. These are Cookies for the following purposes:
- Cookies necessary for the operation of the Website
- Cookies used in the context of audience measurement
- Social media tracking cookies generated by the “social media share buttons”
- ID Cookies
- Tracking pixels
Cookies necessary for the operation of the Website
These Cookies are necessary for the proper functioning of the Website and for browsing the Website. They allow you to access the main features of the Website. When you browse this Website, your terminal interacts with a server that provides it with all the resources requested by automatically storing each operation in a specific file where your device is identified by its IP address. In this way, your browser automatically transmits certain standard data to us. In addition to your IP address, these include the type of browser you use, its features, your operating system, the identification of the third-party site (Facebook, Twitter, etc.) from which you connected as well as the date and time of access to the Website. This automatic collection allows us to monitor the general activity of the Website, to identify errors and to ensure that the Website benefits from the appropriate material resources. The collection of your IP address does not allow us to identify you personally, except by requesting it from your service provider, which is only possible in the context of legal proceedings.
Audience measurement cookies
These Cookies are intended to establish the volume and traffic statistics of the website, the various sections and the use of the services offered on each of them. These Cookies enable ALTARES – D&B to improve the operation and ergonomics of the Website.
The Website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc., to collect information about your use of the Website:
- To help us measure and study the effectiveness of our interactive online content
- To monitor the analytical data on the Website and the use made of the website by users
- To improve the services of the Website
Google Analytics collects information about:
- The pages you visit and the time spent on these pages
- The manner in which you found out about the Website (referring site, social media, search engine, etc.)
- The links clicked on the website during the visit
The data generated by these cookies will be transmitted and stored by Google on servers in the United States. By using this Website, you expressly consent to the processing of your personal data by Google under the conditions and for the aforementioned purposes.
You may disable the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser; such deactivation may prevent the use of certain features of this Website.
We do not collect your personal information (such as your name or address).
Social media tracking cookies
The website offers application buttons to share certain content on the website via social media platforms. These application buttons therefore use Cookies to track the browsing of Internet users. These are, for example, the “share or “like” buttons of social networks. When you click on one of these application buttons, the page of the social network in question will appear. However, even if you do not click on the application buttons available on the website, the social media that have made these application buttons available may identify the login and navigation data on the website. Cookies are stored directly by social media. Thus, your choices regarding the storage of these Cookies must also be made on social media. To this end, ALTARES – D&B invites you to consult the social media websites directly and their personal data protection policy.
ID Cookies
ID Cookies are used as part of the creation and/or connection to your personal space on the website. They allow you to access your account and/or space with your credentials, to facilitate your search for information, as well as to keep other information relevant to the operation of your session.
Tracking pixels
The tracking pixel allows platforms (usually social networks or webmail services: facebook, google, twitter, etc.) to qualify the website visitor level by relating it to their own information. More specifically, these platforms complement their own knowledge of you by adding interest to the ALTARES – D&B website. These personal data are therefore governed by the general terms and conditions of the platforms in question. Like advertising cookies, the tracking pixel allows you to show the most relevant content and ads possible for you and to measure the performance of targeted ads. Note that the tracking pixel allows these platforms to collect information about your browsing on the website only if you are connected simultaneously to these platforms (for example in another tab or if you have chosen the option “remember me” when logging into these services).
Acceptance or refusal of cookies
When you log in to our website, a message appears so that we can place a cookie on your device. At any time, you can change your choice via your browser settings. We inform you that deactivating certain cookies and mainly essential cookies may prevent certain features of ALTARES – D&B’s website from operating. Each browser uses different settings.
Prior consent to the placing of Cookies
You are deemed to have given your consent to the placing of Cookies by the website, if:
- You continued your browsing by clicking on the button “Ok, accept all” on the cookies information banner, or on an element of the website such as an image, a title, a button etc. or by visiting any page other than the page you used to access the website when you first logged in.
- You continued your browsing without setting the trackers, after clicking on the button “find out more and set the trackers” from the cookie information banner.
In the following cases, it is expressly stated that you have given your consent to the storage of all Cookies stored or read on the website. This consent is only valid for a period of thirteen months from the first storage on your terminal. Once this period has expired, the consent will be requested again for the use of these Cookies.
