Message from Frédéric BARTH, France Managing Director Altares

Dear customers, dear partners, 2020 has been a year like no other which’s profoundly affected us both professionally and personally. This unprecedented global pandemic has forced us to adapt to new paradigms and to reinvent ourselves whilst accelerating our digital transformation. To navigate through that uncertainty, our teams have tirelessly worked at your side to give you visibility and provide you with the advice you need to keep your business going. Early in 2020, thanks to the Dun & Bradstreet worldwide network and its global footprint, we’ve rapidly highlighted the new risks linked to Covid-19 that could impact both your global supply chain and your customers. We’ve also quickly developed and released new risk indicators to help you secure your decisions.
Government aid has enabled companies to « hold on in 2020 and whilst we are entering 2021 with more confidence on a personal level (hopes rise to end pandemic thanks to vaccines), several concerns call for the greatest vigilance: lack of cash for 100,000 companies, payment delays at their highest for 15 years and a significant increase in the rate of direct bankruptcies. In 2021, more than ever, our teams remain totally committed at your side to help you identify any changes in the behaviour of your suppliers, customers and partners so you can act with confidence in your compliance, risk management and business development activities. Thank you for your trust. On behalf of all Altares employees, I wish you a happy new year 2021 filled with enthusiasm in your professional and personal projects. Frédéric Barth, Managing Director of Altares France
