What is Paydex?

The Paydex score statistically measures the promptness of a company’s payments to its suppliers and vendors.

It shows the average number of days’ payment delay, based on a minimum of three trade experiences (from three different suppliers).

A payment experience is a company’s average payment performance with one of its suppliers (who are DunTrade partners), over an 8-month period.

The primary objective of the Paydex score is to predict delinquency or default in your client companies. Apart from assessing risk, our partners also use this score to devise the best debt collection or business development strategies.

The data required to calculate the Paydex score comes from the accounts receivable information of over 15,000 member companies worldwide.

Other elements are also used to analyse payment performance: the trend, an industry comparison, an analysis by portion of outstanding debt of payment experiences, etc.

The Paydex score provides valuable insights into payment performance by making it easier to understand and communicate.
